Come Closer is an examination of the bitter-sweetness of sisterhood and utter isolation of grief.
Wading through fractured memories, an older sister searches for meaning as she processes the too-soon loss of her younger sister. With libretto by Rachel Krehm and poetry by Elizabeth Krehm, this opera-in-development is a fictionalized account of finding a relationship after death.
They thought I was strong, the unsinkable Titanic
Little did they know the iceberg was within me.
Little did they know I would crumble from inside.
– Elizabeth Krehm
Presentation begins at 7:30pm, followed by a discussion with the artists.
